In some circles, March Madness refers to basketball, but here at the nursery it’s all about trying to do a zillion things at once. This past week we continued potting up the bare root perennials and shrubs that arrived. Seeds are germinating, and cuttings are being taken. Succulents are super easy to root from cuttings. So are most geraniums. Below are variegated jade and Pelargonium ‘Prince Rupert’ and ‘Phyllis.’ Prince Rupert is deliciously lemon-scented.
We took turns moving the shrubs and trees, so that no one would have to lift too many heavy pots. And, in a stroke of belated brilliance, we bought a dolly specially made to move trees and shrubs. Why didn’t we have this sooner!
