Desert Hollyhock

This Southwestern native, Spharalcea ‘Desert Sunset,’ is a favorite of mine. I first found the plants at Bluebird Nursery in Nebraska about five years ago.  I’ve been saving seeds and growing it ever since. The colors vary from orange to pink to lavender and look like (surprise) a sunset in the desert. It gets about 3′-4′  tall and blooms from late summer to frost. Butterflies and bees love it.
