June–New Hours and New Plants

Happy June! This month we’re open every Wednesday through Saturday, 9-5. Today, on our first day off in over 31 days, we took pictures of plants! On the road to the nursery, many wildflowers are blooming. It’s been a  long time since we’ve seen the native verbena in such fine form.

Blackfoot daisy is having a great year, too. We sold out of our first crop, but we have more started in the greenhouse–they should be ready by the end of this week! What a great little daisy, it blooms all summer and looks good in the garden or pots.

Other plants that we’ll be bringing out of the propagation house this week: Lonicera ‘Major Wheeler’ (honeysuckle vine), Achillea ‘Moonshine’ and Achillea ‘Coronation Gold,’ Salvia ‘Ultra Violet,’ and Sedum kamchaticum ‘variegatum.’

I’m really happy to have Salvia ‘Ultra Violet,’ and it’s a big favorite with the hummingbirds, too. As new plants are ready each week, I’ll try to mention them here on our website.
