A Beautiful Day in Mid May

After last weekend’s Winter Storm….this weekend is perfect! I’m surprised how many plants in the garden were not damaged by 5″ of snow and 25 degrees overnight Monday night.  The tulips weren’t covered, but they look as good as they did when they started blooming weeks ago.

Aquilegia caerulea, our state flower.

013

Bacopa with double flowers! Super for pots and baskets.

Tomato that we planted in the garden in April still looks good after many nights in the 20’s. It’s even growing, protected by the Wall O Water.

006

Peony buds undamaged by the cold. We couldn’t protect this big old thing, but it was okay on its own.

If we didn’t get to the phone when you called, we apologize.  Many questions were about days that we’re open:  We’re open every day in May, 9-5.  And for those of you who called to ask, we do take debit and credit cards–Visa and Mastercard only.

Enjoy the beautiful weekend. Hope to see you soon.
