Greenhorn Mountain on Groundhog Day!

After days of cloudy, snowy weather, the sky is clear and blue and our mountain is covered in new snow!

The oak trees are covered, too.

It’s always fun to see the evening grosbeaks at the feeder on a snowy day.

A few days ago, before the snow started, I took this picture of a nuthatch. They’re a lot more timid than chickadees or grosbeaks–the slightest movement on my part will startle them.

Happy February, everyone!
