Pocket gophers are the bane of my existence.
There’s a new mound by the little evergreen tree we planted this fall. That can’t be good!
We’ve tried traps, we’ve tried castor oil, nothing seems to work. However, I recently learned about a new product, and I have great hopes for it: it’s called Plantskydd, a Swedish word meaning plant protection, and from everything I’ve heard and read it is the best deterrent for rabbits and deer available. It’s also OMRI certified, an organic control that doesn’t harm wildlife or pets. The company that distributes it also claims great success with voles, but gophers are still unknown. I’m testing it now and will let you know if it works. Wish me luck.
