Sorry for the Confusion

Our “open every day in May” ends today, and some people think this means we’ll be closed in June. Au contraire, we are just going back to our regular schedule of Wednesday through Saturday, 9-5.

We have some plants ready now that were in the seedling stage or recently transplanted stage when we first opened, including Tanacetum niveum, a much loved perennial for the xeriscape garden.

We recently bought some herbs from our friends at Desert Canon Farm, so we have a new supply of Arnica and Rosemary.  We also have some new cactus and agaves from Wild Things.  While we grow 98% of the plants we sell here at the nursery, we like being able to buy plants from other nurseries here in Southern Colorado to expand our selection.

We potted up some of our tomatoes into bigger pots and they seem to have doubled in size overnight! We have a great supply of annuals for hanging baskets and pots, or the garden, too.  The Supertunias are gorgeous, and we have more geraniums that are just starting to flower! If you have a few spots that need some color, we can help.

The fruit trees are selling fast, we’re out of peach and apricot, but still have a good selection of apple trees available. Apple trees are the toughest, most reliable fruit trees for our area.  I think there are still a couple of cherry trees, and one or two plum trees, too.

We continue to propogate plants all through the summer, so new plants are always showing up in the sales area.  Now is also a good time to let us know if there is something you want for your garden that you haven’t been able to find. As soon as spring ends, we start ordering seeds and shrubs and trees for next year!

I know we need to update our catalog section on the website, but I hope this helps a little.
